Here’s a thought

Foreign terrorists and criminals who seek to take advantage of human rights laws should be required to prove that they are worthwhile members of humanity and capable of behaving responsibly and like someone worthy of having human rights.

Is the government serious about crime?

None of the bankers who indulged in money laundering and tax dodging has been charged, never mind put in gaol. Looks like a case of the bigger the crime, and the source of political donations, the bigger the blind eye the government will turn.

Just more thoughts

1. If God is really such a good guy, why does he condemn people to burn in Hell for all eternity? Does God have no concept of proportionality?
2. Science is a process of making up stories that fit the facts as they are currently known, and changing the story when our knowledge changes. Religion involves making up stories by cherry-picking facts that fit the story and ignoring ones that don’t.

Well done, Wee Man!

Alex Salmonella’s legacy is that he turned the SNP from the natural party of government in Scotland into a trade union for scrounging whingers. And he isn’t even a member of the Labour party.

Let us be ourselves

Whilst there might be benefits to be derived from interacting with people from different cultures, that doesn’t mean, as the Looney Lefties want, that we should ditch our own culture and adopt the foreigners’ weird ideas.

Could just work

As a long-term HSBC customer, I’m wondering if I’m entitled to sue the bank for compensation for not showing me ways to dodge taxes.

Socialist piety covering up naked greed

When socialists, communists and others start talking about redistribution of wealth, they always have one thing in common; a plan to ensure that a huge chunk of other people’s money will end up in the pockets of the redistributors and their cronies.

Do as I say . . .

Are we surprised to learn that, after a week of calling others tax dodgers, Red Ed turns out to be one himself? No, that’s what caviar commies do, even though the rejected PM G. Broon labelled it tax abuse.
Are we surprised to learn that Red Ed has been trying to make political capital out of calling others tax dodgers when he’s one himself and a hypocrite? No, everyone knows that leftie politicians have a very distant relationship with the truth.

Seriously, what do the “experts” know anyway?

Another of these surveys has “proved” that drinking is good for you only if you’re over 65, female and do it moderately. And maybe not even then. But don’t worry. There will be another survey along in a minute to “prove” that this one got it hopelessly wrong.

What do the “experts” know anyway?

The scare story that saturated fat is a heart-killer was based on feeding animal fat to rabbits, whose digestive system is not designed to handle it. The human digestive system is, though. Which leaves those of us who didn’t abandon butter in the 1980s in favour of some over-priced spreadable gunk feeling right and really quite smug.

Fair shares for all

Is Red Ed going to get a baby blue election van to match the Harperson's pink Barbie Bus? Or would that be too Tory?

Following yesterday’s further arrests for child abuse

Just a thought, but if members of the “Asian community” would stop abusing young white girls, then maybe the “far-Right” wouldn’t be able to use the issue to stir up racial tensions. Just a thought.

Time is money – for the usual suspects

The inquiry into historical child abuse, which has already made 2 false starts with unsatisfactory chair persons, is expected to take 3 years to shuffle the paperwork. The conclusion then will be either that no one is to blame or that the system was at fault, not the people operating it.

Grab their attention

The performance of Chilcot, J. before the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee confirms that he lacks the authority and the skills necessary to deal with other obstructive civil servants, e.g. Humphrey Heywood. What would be really good would be for the prime monster to pluck up the courage to sack him as an example to the other jobsworths, and remove a few knighthoods for the same purpose.

Unfit for any purpose

With a general election approaching, it would be interesting to hear the views of candidates for the job of MP on the issue of taking the business of government out of the hands of civil servants and quangos and other Labour party front organizations. The reasons for doing this are manifest, but they include the alleged inspectorate of schools interpreting promoting Britishness as bullying primary school-age girls to be lesbians, the antics of the Care Quality Commission aimed at driving Hinchingbrooke hospital out of business, and the foot-dragging over the “inquiry” into how the country was dragged into an illegal war in Iraq in 2003.

Labour ditches democracy

Labour’s leadership hopeful, Chunky Whatever, has announced that his party will not listen to “multi-millionaires who live in a big mansion”. [Like Red Ed?] So that’s the democracy crap of everyone entitled to have an opinion chucked out of the window, then?

Was that for real?

Two miracle plays in the last minute or so of the Super Bowl? Yeah, like that could happen!
